YOUR TASK

There are so many excellent childrens' authors who have written hundreds of wonderful novels! Your task is to choose one author, research information about that author from books and the Internet, and prepare a project to communicate the knowledge you have gained!

Howard Gardner presented his theory of Multiple Intelligences in his 1983 book, Frames of Mind. In this book, Gardner presented eight intelligences that humans possess in varying degrees. In this AuthorQuest, you have the choice of four projects which focus on four of these intelligences:

Visual/Spatial - the ability to perceive the visual world accurately. This project involves the creation of a website.

Linguistic - the ability to use language effectively (reading, writing, speaking). This project involves the creation of a written report, memorizing it, and sharing it orally to the class.

Logical/Mathematical - The ability to solve abstract problems, understand complex relationships, and recognize patterns and order. This project involves the creation of a timeline and a strategy game.

Kinesthetic - The ability to manipulate physical objects and to handle the body skillfully. This project involves the creation of a quadrarama.
